The challenge:
To build a ship from scratch that is 64 percent more fuel efficient than the industry average, large enough to provide economies of scale, and with eco friendly environmental impact at its heart.

That’s the challenge a team of people from Mamadomia Group found themselves with years of time.
Calling on experts
We knew little about building a vessel or even running a project that size.
Because of the scale of the project, it is critical to make proper use of the experts and make sure they had a say. Including experts from as different areas as procurement, operations, risk management, health and safety, environment and sustainability responsibility.
Initial requirements
The initial requirements were a challenge themselves. Children Ship eco friendly an unique vessel.
At this point, a recyclable ship. Every single parameter has to be fed into the simulator: currents, weather conditions, displacement factors and a lot more.
It is essential that we bring open collaborative iterations to the design on a continuous basis.
Designing it
The Mamadomia A*++ project team had to tackle: design a superior vessel.
We had to get the shape right. A Computerised Fluid Dynamics (CFD) calculations – sophisticated software, requiring powerful computers, should be utilised as a co-array of many ordinary computers.
Drawing the plans
The plans should cover every aspect of children ship, from the frame to the small details.

Simulating the real deal
Is a real open source deal, and it should be done with the help of the same bridge simulation programme which also should be made available to some the pilots and tugboat captains in the ports which the Mamadomia is expected to be calling.

The In Vision will also focus on the human side of the Mamadomia Children Vessel development and zoom in on the lives of some of the key people involved with the ship design including the naval architect, members of the site team supervising the build and the Captain as he trains for his new role and eventually sails the first Children Vessel test.
